Indiana Pac and the Temple of Slime is the seventeenth episode of Season 1, and the seventeenth episode overall. It premiered on August 31, 2013.

Plot[]

After Dr. Buttocks sneaks a slug cam into Pac-Man's backpack, Buttocks spies on Sir Cumference's lab as he discovers that Sir Cumference kept an ancient artifact that might lead to the secret of the Tree of Life, Pac-Man and his friends discover that the artifact lead them into the Netherworld as it took them to a temple filled with slime. Meanwhile, Betrayus has trouble putting his head back on after being split in a electric beam.

  • The episode contains multiple references to the Indiana Jones franchise:
    • The episode's title, "Indiana Pac and the Temple of Slime", is based on the 1984 adventure film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. However, the plot homages the events of the 1981 adventure film Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
    • When the trio encountered a slug, Pac says "Slugs. It had to be slugs.", a reference to Indiana's line: "Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?"
    • The squid-like ghost did some kung-fu poses, only for Cylindria, with an unimpressed expression on her face, to use her PSC to defeat the squid-like ghost in one shot as she says "Give me a break." is referenced to the Cairo scene where a swordsman showed his sword-wielding moves and Indiana with an face expression reading 'Give me a break.' and shot the swordsman with one shot of his gun.
    • Zac's fedora is similar to Indiana Jones's fedora.
    • The temple the trio were in that starts crumbling and shaking after Pac retrieved the tablet is reference to Indiana Jones after taking the Golden Idol in the Peruvian temple and the entire building began to crumble and shake.
    • The ghosts and stone statues trying to escape Granite-Ball Pac is a reference to Indiana outrunning a similar giant granite boulder.
    • Pac-Man retrieving his father's hat is a reference to Indiana retrieving his hat.
